WELCOME TO APRIL, EVERYONE!
Oh, y’all. It was a March, wasn’t it? So first and foremost I just want to say that Melanie and I hope you’re well and the people you love are well. It may take us a little while to get to the other side of this thing, but I believe we’re all gonna love each other well and get through it. So hang in there.
On this episode we talk about what we’ve been doing during this past week of social distancing, and we also talk to one of our very favorite Twitter follows, Karen Howell. Here’s what you need to know about Karen: she is hilarious. Also, she and I grew up in Mississippi towns that are a couple of hours apart, so our accents are really similar, and I got super tickled when I was editing because I’ll tell you what does not fade as you get older: a Mississippi accent. :-)
Anyway, we hope this episode makes you laugh, and by the way, HANG IN THERE, all you mamas who are handling remote learning for your kids (and all you mamas who have been teaching your kids for years). We’re cheering you on!
You can click here to listen. Or here. You can even listen right here on the blog.
And if you’re on the Facebook, well, we are, too.
We’d love for you to subscribe on iTunes, and we’d be honored if you’d leave us a review.

Oh how fun!! 1) I was actually grating cheese when you talked about grating cheese! Lol!! Block cheese is also my #1 when going to the store. I choose block, because it can be sliced for a sandwich, cut into blocks to go with cheese, or grated for all kinds of purposes. And seriously, is there anything better tasting than grated cheese from a block?!?! 2) As a former Days of Our Lives watcher, I would have loved to hear more of that conversation! The short segment at the end had me laughing! 3) Even though it is a COMPLETE TRAINWRECK (in the best way), I will take Tiger King over Ozark any day of the week! Had to stop watching Ozark. I couldn’t take anymore of the sheriff’s bedroom scenes or the walking through the strip club to get to Jason Bateman’s office anymore!! The story wasn’t compelling enough for all that mess! Anyway, y’all are the best! I play the podcast when I’m working in the kitchen, because it just feels like having friends over, sitting at the island while I prepare a meal, and just chatting away with a fun beverage. Thanks for what you do! Much love!!
I would highly recommend watching Zooey’s Extraordinary Play List, it’s on NBC and Hulu. Very cute, touching and sweet. They do break out in song and dance numbers, which normally would bug me, but I looooove it! Lauren Graham, Peter Gallagher and Mary Steenburgen are in it and it’s really awesome (one of our Gen X phrases 😀).
