As you might imagine, life has been a mile a minute during the past week of Pandemic ’20. We’ve been to the grocery store, we’ve been to the drugstore, and we have even cooked some meals. There’s just so much to share!
Thankfully, though, a slower pace doesn’t stop us from being fascinated with the most inconsequential things. That’s why this week we have a lot of thoughts about what shows to watch, we have a lot of thoughts about what it’s like at grocery stores these days, and we (well, I) have a lot of thoughts about the finest sports bra I have ever owned.
Also. Right after I edited this episode it dawned on me that there was an important pop culture development we neglected to discuss, so we called on our friend Erin Moon and broke that thing right on down. That’s why you’ll find about 15-ish minutes of extra content at the end of the regular episode. Now isn’t that more fun? Just more fun!
Hope y’all enjoy!

I’m watching the new PBS series Somewhere South. Chef Vivian Howard explores the traditions of classic southern foods. Also a three season series on Netflix. Last Tango in Halifax. Set in England. An elderly couple had been teen sweethearts. Lost touch through a series of miscommunications. Go on to marry, have families, and are both now widowed. Find each other again and immediately decide to marry. They have two of the most dysfunctional families ever. Some parts hilarious, some sad, some not kid friendly.
If there were ever people I wanted to be friends with IRL, it’s you two! Thanks for always bringing the fun.
I just wanted to give you a little PSA on the best sheets for comfort and coolness. https://www.cariloha.com/ The company also has divine pajama pants! I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed! My husband and I purchased the sheets over a year ago and I am still very pleased. They stay so cool. I am a hot sleeper and often sleep with just a sheet! These stay very cool and I never need to find the cool side of the pillow. The only thing that is a little upsetting is the do wrinkle a bit on the edges but I am not my grandmother so they will not be being ironed every week! What the dryer cannot do for me will remain undone.
My husband bought the pajamas for me for Christmas and it is a real struggle to not wear these constantly! Before the pandemic, I was having to take these pajamas off and put of clothes for work. And as soon as I got home I was putting them back on. It was a real issue. Now I can freely wear them without judgement. Some days I encourage myself to dress in clothing like I am going somewhere but my body revolts and by the afternoon my legs are demanding these pajamas! I promise you that you will find them so comforting! Seriously, do yourself a favor and buy some! You’ll be so glad you did!
And by the way, thank you for keeping me laughing through all this! I am so grateful. God is good.
I’ve been listening to y’all for years. I have some recommendations for yalls binge watching moods. Sophie, if you haven’t watched Poldark on Amazon Prime, I highly recommend it. It’s 5 season with 8 episodes per season. For Melanie, Dirty John on Netflix. It’s 8 episodes and done.
