Hello how are you we’re exhausted.
Here’s a quick Disney Day One wrap-up:
1) As it turns out, I have a child who loves rollercoasters.
2) Said child rode Space Mountain. And ADORED EVERY SECOND.
3) Todd and I rode Space Mountain together and screamed like schoolgirls. At one point I discovered that I was clapping out of sheer glee.
4) A disturbing portion of female park patrons were not wearing proper undergarments in the chest area. And by that I mean there were many women who went with the no-bra option this morning despite the fact that support – yay, even underwire – was deperately needed.
As someone who has not left the house without the aid of underwire since I was fourteen, I could not relate.
5) I have never been this tired.
6) I don’t even care how tired I am because of the sheer joy I saw on Alex’s face all day long. D. and I couldn’t quit grinning at him and then at each other. Such a sweet time.
7) Everybody needs a Todd when they go to a theme park. He took care of all the fast passes for us, knew exactly where we needed to go, and as a result we never waited in line more than 20 minutes. He also laughed so hard at supper that he spit out his water, and that is but one reason why we love him.
8) Just an observation: if what we saw today is any indication, there are lots of pre-teen and teenage girls who aren’t wearing nearly enough clothes.
9) You would not believe the number of people we saw text messaging while riding rollercoasters. PUT AWAY THE PHONES, PEOPLE. PUT AWAY THE PHONES.
10) The Kavu bag and Geox sandals were an excellent combination.
11) And the Disney stroller that we rented? Absolutely the best $10 we’ve ever spent. Worth every single penny – and then some.
See y’all tomorrow!
