Several weeks ago I got an email asking if I’d like to try to HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier (be sure to memorize the official name because there will be a test at the end of this giveaway). Since I haven’t had a printer for about, oh, EIGHT YEARS, I quickly answered the email and said, “Yes, please.” Because I figured having a printer of my own might be a smidge more convenient than sending attachments to my husband and asking him to print them for me. Which is pretty much how I’ve run this operation from the get-go. All fancy-like, you know.
The printer arrived early last week, and while I was thrilled to try it, I wasn’t nearly as thrilled as my daddy, who happened to be visiting and COULD NOT WAIT to open the printer box. In fact, he was the one who unpacked everything and unwrapped all the manuals and whathaveyou, and I’m pretty sure that if I’d offered to give him the printer he would have done some hitchkicks in my dining room.
(Not that he’s really the hitchkicking type, you understand. But he was mighty impressed by everything the HP C6380 can do. I think it was the first time he’s ever thought this whole blogging thing just might have some merit, and that is totally fine because I know how deeply new electronics speak to the heart of every man.)
Later that night I got a chance to really put the printer to the test, and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up. For some reason I still expect to have to enter some MS-DOS commands when I install new software, but the HP installation was easy breezy and over in just a few minutes. Plus, it’s a wireless printer, so I didn’t even have to fool with any pesky cords. I have the printer neatly tucked away in an area where it’s pretty much out of sight (I’m not a fan of the electronic clutter), and it works like a dream.
And the next day, that sassy new printer really made a believer out of me. I realized that I’d forgotten to pick up a birthday card for a friend, and I was just about to pull out a piece of stationery and write a note when I realized WAIT! I HAVE A PRINTER NOW! I CAN MAKE A CARD!
Sometimes it’s the little things, you know?
So I went to the HP website and found a card I liked and printed it out right then and there. IT WAS A WONDER, not to mention that it was quite a bit more professional-looking than when I used to print out cards on my daddy’s dot-matrix printer when I was in high school.
We have given our HP printer a work-out this last week, and it’s been such a treat. The wireless feature is fab, and I’m so excited about scanning in old pictures (something else I’ve never been able to do because I’ve never owned a scanner before, which pretty much makes me an embarrassment to the entire internet). It probably goes without saying that I’m tickled that we now have a piece of home-office equipment that does everything we need.
(Except it doesn’t wash windows or do laundry.)
(I imagine that it will be several years before they add those particular features.)
SO, if you’d like to win an HP Photosmart C6380 printer of your very own, leave a comment on this post and tell me how this printer would make your life easier. This contest will remain open until Sunday, February 8th at 11:59 pm.
And if you’d like additional chances to win, check out the BlogHer HP giveaway round-up page.
Have fun, everybody!

Oooooo! Ahhhhhhhh! Ooooooo! What more is there to say?
I would love a wireless printer because I find it very annoying to have to always go upstairs and plug in my laptop to my ancient printer!
When my 3 yo begs to do something special, I can whip up something special and print it out quickly! How fun!
Our printer is hooked up to my husband’s laptop in the other room. If I want to print, I have to take my laptop into the other room and hook it up and wait for the print out, which hopefully will finish before my battery dies.
I would love to be able to print photos from my laptop while sitting on the couch!
My husband is currently emailing all his docs to my laptop which I in turn have to take into the bedroom where my hoopty printer lives, find the cord, hook up, and hope everything works.
So yeah. Wireless would be nice.
I received a new laptop and a wireless printer would be wonderful. So much easier to work with.
This would be awesome for my husband and I both, we share a corded printer, so the wireless feature would be awesome! I have been looking at them, but can’t justify the expense! I also despise all the cords!
Enter me!! Thanks, I hope I win. I know, I know, everyone here wants to win.
seriously?!! i for real have a chance to win this? it would make my life so much easier! whenever i need to use a printer, i have to run outside to the business office which is in another building. thanks!
I got a new Nikon Camera, have 9 grandchildren, and a new printer could give me ‘bragging rights’ that I currently do not have!
I love it! I could use one!
all in one would be awesome . Thanks
I, too send everything to my husband at work to print for me-I think he would appreciate this as much as me!
My husband and I are both taking classes right now. A new printer would come in very handy!
wireless????? yes ma’am…..I would
L-O-V-E me a wireless machine!

I would love a printer/fax/copier system. I homeschool so this little diddy would come in real handy.
Really? How WOULDN’T it make my life easier. Wireless? Check. Printer? Check. Scanner? Check. Copier? Check.
All those things are what I’m craving for a new printer. Our last printer/scanner/copier died last year, and I’m still in mourning.
Oh my printer is soooo old and I never win anything :)! Pick me, pick me. I would LOVE a new fancy printer.
What is not to like about this printer – would go great next to my Macbook
After switching, reluctantly, to Vista, I’ve found that my ancient printer is not Vista ready/compatible/or wants to be in the same zip code with Vista. Furthermore, I’m starting a design business to finance my continued SAHM lifestyle. So, I’m screwed without a printer. Pretty please?
new printer?! it might make me stop screaming and throwing air punches at the one that is currently sitting beside me! i’m in!
A new wireless printer would be awesome…to set it up anywhere & not have cables to connect. Great give-away!
Oh, what a wonderful thing, a wireless printer. Just think of all those tests, quizzes, and handouts I could make for my students all from the comfort of my couch! I invested in the laptop, but the wireless printer still intimidated me a little….but I’m trusting you that it is easy breezy!
a funny giveaway post…only you could pull that off!
i’d love to win it for its WIRELESS feature…i work from home, so this would be great for so many reasons, but not having extra cords…priceless!
The thought of a new printer is so exciting! This sounds like a great system- everything important all rolled into one… Would sure make my life easier! Pick me please :)
I need this printer. My marriage needs it.
Last year I talked hubby into a wireless printer from *another* brand. It’s a ink-guzzling dawg. Total Dud.
Should have stayed with HP. They rock.
Please save my marriage. =) Pick me! Pick me!
we don’t have a printer. A wireless one would rock!!!!
We haven’t had a working printer in several years and I haven’t been able to justify the expense because it would mostly be for me. I also started out homeschooling this year, and my need for a good printer has really been weighing on me.
Oh, the wireless capabilities would make things so much easier!!
Are you kidding….a wireless printer would be fabulous and so much easier than running up and down the stairs all the time.
I need this new printer because for some reason I never make it to Costco anymore to pick up my digital prints I so convienently ordered online. I have a back log of pics to pick up. With this amazing printer I can do them at home and never have to leave!
I’d love to win this printer. It looks like it has everything I might ever need from a printer.
Our printer is on it’s last legs!! A wireless one would be fantastic. I hate wires/cords and such. They are so hard to clean around!
It would be awesome to have a printer because then I wouldn’t have to copy everything to my thumb drive and print it off at church or work! Wow – that would be amazing!
This would be so nice – especially with 4 kiddoes all wanting to print stuff out for school projects! Wireless = wonderful! Thanks for the give-away!
it is actually on my to-do list to buy a new p/s/c this week, so winning this giveaway would cross that one off my list. a wireless would be great since my husband and i have computers on different floors. plus a scanner would be SO great b/c then i could post embarrassingly pictures of myself from the 80’s.
please pick me, computer generated chooser.
All my appliances have died which is why we almost had sushi for Christmas dinner. My printer is giving up the ghost and I am DYING because while the dishwasher, oven and fridge weren’t so bad, I need to be able to print my boys lists of things to do.
That printer/ copier/ scanner would make my life SO much easier because I am always having to go plug my laptop in to print. And when I need to copy something I always have to go borrow someone else’s copier. And all of those handouts they give us in class that I put in my notebook and carry around with my huge text books, i could just scan right in and that would mean that I would have to carry less stuff around school. Wouldn’t that be fantastic?
I like cordless things…especially if they are printer/copier/scanners.
I have a similar printer so I would give this to my Mom. Thanks!
omg, a wireless printer! We have a 1st baby on the way, 2 cats who love wires, and the computer being moved to an all-access area (ya know, so the babe will have his/her own space, as opposed to sleeping in my closet)…need I express our interest anymore than that?! Blessyourheart, honey, for such a fab giveaway:)
I have always wanted a printer of my very own.
Thanks
Brenda
i could print pictures and homeschool stuff and chore charts and creative things!
Oh man, this would be so cool! I love to design my own birthday cards, invites and whathaveyou so instead of paying someone else to print them, I could print them myself. How handy! I would love love love to win this.
This would make by life so much easier. i could print all my pics within minutes of taking them. it would be great.
I would feel so “official” if I had this printer.
It might actually make my office look like an office and I might actually be able to convince my husband that I’m doing some real work instead of reading blogs!
Our printer is OLD!! It was given to us and takes up SO much room! I’d love a “new-fangled” printer! I teach and do lots of work from home. Plus my four year old is always wanting to print the pictures she makes on Barney.com and our printer doesn’t do color! :)
a wireless printer…oh, the possiblities! valentine’s day cards, birthday cards, i just love you so much cards, and endless other possibilities.
what a sweet printer! I could use it!
My hubby is so tired of printing things at work. A few times this year he has had to trek BACK to work (quite a drive too) just to print out a homework assignment for a kiddo and then back home… It would make my heart so happy! (and do wonders for my marriage!)
Seminary grad student in desperate need of a wireless printer!!
Two grandkids, scrapbooker, love to make cards (card ministry at church), and that is just the start of the list.
Thanks for a chance to win and have a wonderful day.
pscole3467 at gmail dot com
We haven’t had a printer in a few years, we very much need one for the homework doer in the house.
pick me, pick me. My fam could truly use this…would make wedding plans/pics soooo much easier!
My printer is slow and pickey about hving everyhing just right before it agrees to print anything for me. This homeschoolin’ Mamma would LOVE a shiny new (compliant, obedient) printer!
I would put this to great use!
I need an all in one printer like this to scan in pictures. Thanks!!
Love your recipes and your giveaways!
One of these days I will win! fun times! Thanks.
This printer would change my life by actually working. Currently my HP all in one, which I love (d) past tense since now it will only scan everything red. Go figure, I don’t know…
Anyway, yay HP!
This looks awesome, I would love to have this. Thank You!
wireless printer – heaven! Thanks for the give away!!!
Okay, I wanted to enter this giveaway, but I actually have a printer – just not one this fancy-shmancy – or wireless, or one that copies and scans. But, when I saw comments by all kinds of printer-less people, I thought maybe I should withdraw from the contest. Then I thought, maybe I could enter the contest and offer to send MY printer to another worthy entrant! (Selfless, I know! I’m feeling so completely magnanimous about now.) So, throw my name in there BooMama!
would love, love, love this. who wouldn’t?
Well since my printer is also hoopty, I could really use a new one. With printing off reports for 5 children I knew it was probably on it’s last leg.
Would love to win a fancee printer, copier, scanner – and my husband would be appreciative of it too! (He is tired of doing it for me!)
It would be wonderful to have a printer that scans. Thanks for the giveaway!!
Well since I use the printer under the desk as a foot stool it’d be nice to have one that works!
It’s be Soooooooo nice to print quality pics at home instead of running to the store!
We are without a scanner too and I’d love to scan in some pics!
pick me! our house was burglarized and ransacked last month and they stole my old printer all-in-one and the new one in the box i had gotten for christmas!
With a baby on the way in less than two weeks, I’m GUESSING I’ll have A FEW photos to print out soon… ;)
I am a homeschool mom, so this would def. come in handy. Plus I love the “wireless” part, COOL!!
It’d probably make my life easier because at this moment I do not have a properly working printer. And I find working printers to be more handy than the non-working type.
Would love to win printer for my mother who desperately needs one…or perhaps for myself and she could have my old one??? Hmmmm…you did say wireless, right??? I love wireless!!!
Well, for one. The kids wouldn’t be touching my printer. Or stealing all MY paper. There’s my official answer.
Now onto the standard rambling.
I declare, I still have 1s and 0s stress and OH THAT BLASTED BLINKING CURSOR on ms-dos just WAITING for me to figure out what to do.
And I can’t hear the word “printer” w/o imagining that back and forth sound of the ribbon.
“Zeeeeeeeet…zeeeeet…zeeeeeeeet…”
Ooohhhh, how this printer would make my life easier. My old (and I mean old!) printer/scanner has seen it’s last birthday card printing! Currently, I save my stuff to a jump drive and take it to work or to my mom’s to print.
So I could talk about how I, too, send all things to my husband to print from his office. Or I could just cut right to the quick and declare with all honesty that I want to scan pictures from high school and junior high to post on Facebook for some sweet, sweet retribution. The truth can be painful. (For someone!)
I am a teacher and would looooooooove to have this printer!! It would make my life 100% easier!! :)
I’m a 3rd grade teacher and oh, all of the wonderful things I could do with a HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier! Aren’t you impressed that I remembered what it was called? Hey, you said there would be a test at the end, and we teachers don’t take things like that lightly! Please, please, please, let me win this! Did I mention I work at a private school (in Mississippi) so there is noooo way I could ever afford to buy one of these babies on my own! :(
The wireless feature makes this great! My printer is currently in my bedroom because it is not wireless! Thanks for the contest.
Well, this would let me print photos at home instead of sending them through snapfish! And with a newborn at home, in-home printing would certainly be easier!
I work from home occasionally(good for my recent recovery from hip surgery) and desperately need a good printer. I also must fax health claims for clients so this would do double, triple duty for me. Wonderful!
Wireless! Great giveaway! :)
I would give this to my mom because her printer just quit working and she has barely had it a year. Thanks!
My printer/scanner is dying a slow death – you would save from sticker shock :-)
Oh my! This is would help us tremendously. You see, we homeschool and I also design knitting patterns. Our old printer, which is more than a decade old and is, shall we say, quirky has been such a hindrance to our work here. No to mention all the photos, which I just did. Thank you for offering this!
OH! I reeeeeally need this! Do I get extra credit for hard luck stories? Because my baby ripped an (apparently) essential knob off of our 5 year old photo printer, rendering it completely unresponsive. Since then, I’ve been relying on our even older scanner/copier/printer to print (home)school work for the kiddies among other things. Then, just today when I was trying my rootin’ tootinest to print out a “paid in full” receipt for one of my handy dandy oilcloth Smockity apron customers, the old thing finally gave up the ghost. I resorted to HAND writing the receipt, which I don’t think necessarily gives off the “I am a professional enterprise” air, if you know what I mean.
In any case, thank you for the giveaway!
I would love to have this printer. Ours is very old and we now have a granddaughter we are always taking pictures of or receiving pictures other people have taken that I would love to be able to scan in. Also, since I am a blogger now, there have been several occasions I have wished for a scanner to post pictures. Thanks!
Oh my gosh, you have no idea how much this printer would make my life easier. As I type this, I’m battling with the my printer/copier/fax/scanner at work that I share with, oh, about 50 other people. It’s so frustrating.
Two of my other coworkers have their own printers and I would cut off my right arm (because I’m a lefty and totally need it to do just about everything) to get a printer of my own but I can’t afford to buy my own and I know the athletic department (my employer) doesn’t see that it is necessary that I have my own printer, considering all the budgetary cut backs and stuff.
And the fact that it is wireless makes it even better. I have no more room on my desk to fit something like a printer so it would be fantastic if I could place it on the credenza behind me and it would still print without wires being all over the place.
How great! So, BooMama…pick me! Pick me!
Thank you kindly for the giveaway BooMama! I am a techno dinosaur so my teens would be doing the high fives and probably some joy dancing if I had a wireless printer that was easy enough for me to figure out how to use. Oh, they would have more quality time on FB!
Oh, be still my heart! My lil’ ole’ printer, bless its heart, does its best, but um, you know. Not so much.
And I have no scanner.
Hoping, crossing my fingers, hoping. . .
Oh wow! Wireless? Really? We are laptop users, and that’s exactly what we could use– no more running upstairs to plug into the printer every time we need to print a lead sheet
Poor girl fron TN doesn’t have a printer..have to send everything to my work or hubs work and that is real hard to do at 8 at night for kids project! ;)
Oh I would love one of these! Would so come in handy putting together my daughter’s elementary school yearbook!
Oh, this would be so nice. You see, I am going to be a grandma soon, so I am trying to race and catch up with the rest of the techno savy world. My kids tell me I am way behind by even doing the blog thing, that facebook and twitter is way cooler, but I say one step at a time. I have committed to the blog and oh that printer/scanner would do so much for me in the way of cool points. I could scan pictures of my son up against pictures of the baby and everyone will ooh and ahh and gush about how handsome he is and how he looks just like his daddy and that his daddy looks just like his mom (which is me.) So you see, I am in desperate need of this piece of equipment. The future of my grandson hangs on it very print cartridge.
Waiting with pictures in hand,
Dee

Wow! We are in need of a printer!
I’d love to win this one.
Here’s hoping….Lois
I’d love this SO much!
a new printer that could do all of that would be dy-no-mite!
Yes, please! :)
