Several weeks ago I got an email asking if I’d like to try to HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier (be sure to memorize the official name because there will be a test at the end of this giveaway). Since I haven’t had a printer for about, oh, EIGHT YEARS, I quickly answered the email and said, “Yes, please.” Because I figured having a printer of my own might be a smidge more convenient than sending attachments to my husband and asking him to print them for me. Which is pretty much how I’ve run this operation from the get-go. All fancy-like, you know.
The printer arrived early last week, and while I was thrilled to try it, I wasn’t nearly as thrilled as my daddy, who happened to be visiting and COULD NOT WAIT to open the printer box. In fact, he was the one who unpacked everything and unwrapped all the manuals and whathaveyou, and I’m pretty sure that if I’d offered to give him the printer he would have done some hitchkicks in my dining room.
(Not that he’s really the hitchkicking type, you understand. But he was mighty impressed by everything the HP C6380 can do. I think it was the first time he’s ever thought this whole blogging thing just might have some merit, and that is totally fine because I know how deeply new electronics speak to the heart of every man.)
Later that night I got a chance to really put the printer to the test, and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up. For some reason I still expect to have to enter some MS-DOS commands when I install new software, but the HP installation was easy breezy and over in just a few minutes. Plus, it’s a wireless printer, so I didn’t even have to fool with any pesky cords. I have the printer neatly tucked away in an area where it’s pretty much out of sight (I’m not a fan of the electronic clutter), and it works like a dream.
And the next day, that sassy new printer really made a believer out of me. I realized that I’d forgotten to pick up a birthday card for a friend, and I was just about to pull out a piece of stationery and write a note when I realized WAIT! I HAVE A PRINTER NOW! I CAN MAKE A CARD!
Sometimes it’s the little things, you know?
So I went to the HP website and found a card I liked and printed it out right then and there. IT WAS A WONDER, not to mention that it was quite a bit more professional-looking than when I used to print out cards on my daddy’s dot-matrix printer when I was in high school.
We have given our HP printer a work-out this last week, and it’s been such a treat. The wireless feature is fab, and I’m so excited about scanning in old pictures (something else I’ve never been able to do because I’ve never owned a scanner before, which pretty much makes me an embarrassment to the entire internet). It probably goes without saying that I’m tickled that we now have a piece of home-office equipment that does everything we need.
(Except it doesn’t wash windows or do laundry.)
(I imagine that it will be several years before they add those particular features.)
SO, if you’d like to win an HP Photosmart C6380 printer of your very own, leave a comment on this post and tell me how this printer would make your life easier. This contest will remain open until Sunday, February 8th at 11:59 pm.
And if you’d like additional chances to win, check out the BlogHer HP giveaway round-up page.
Have fun, everybody!
This giveaway is now closed.

Oh! I would LOVE to have one!! :-)
oh please? It’s just what the doctor ordered!!! Would love to own that!!
Wireless printing means I can print directions to the school I’m subbing at the next day without leaving my current Pathwords game or episode of The Bachelor.
Priorities.
This would be great! I need a good quality printer!
I’m a teacher and my school issued printer is older than my students! All 19 of us would really appreciate a new printer to print out all of our creations!
Ohhhh, I could really use one of those! Fingers crossed. Thanks so much for doing this giveaway!
Jen
My 4th-grader just brought home the materials for the state report he has to do this year. And, um? Apparently, I will be scanning, downloading, and/or printing out approximately one million photos, maps, state seals, and other various materials. This printer could make my life easier by helping us survive the State Report.
I would LOVE to win a printer. Who wouldn’t want too?
because trying to finish up 5th grade homework at 8:45 at night and the printer won’t print produces mass quantities of tears and stress…and does my baby really need printer-induced stress in her hormonal, pre-teen, oh-my-word this math is hard life? i think not.
oh PLEASE grant us a working printer!!!
My 15 year old son would probably never leave his room if he didn’t have to connect the laptop to the printer in the den for homework, etc. good thing?
Wireless AND multiple functions!!!!
Oh you have no idea just how badly I need a printer…I really might pass out if I win.
I would love to have a HP printer again. I made the sad mistake of buying a Lexmark when I needed a scanner and I’ve regretted it everyday.
My printer is a $20 one that runs through ink as fast as I eat chocolate! It is also no where near where I use my laptop plus my laptop battery is pretty much unusable, so to print I get everything ready, run to the other room, connect, print and pray I don’t lose all power before the item prints off. I need a wireless printer! (not to mention scanner and copier!)
You mean I could actually print pictures instead of them living on various hard drives around our house & print homeschool materials all from the comfort of my couch? Count me in!
This looks like a dream machine, and the fact that it’s wireless is just icing on the digital cake.
Oh my Boo Mama – My life would be so much easier with this printer for two reasons – (1) Since I am a high school teacher, I could use the scanner to scan in all of my worksheets that haven’t been digitized yet. My students would benefit greatly since I make them available on my school web page.
(2) I could use the printer for the 9,226 pages I’m going to print over the next 2 months as I prepare for my medical mission trip to South Africa (I am a trip leader) this April. I could print the luggage tags, our worship books, our medication lists, our financial updates, pharmacy labels, the children’s activities and, well, I could go on . . . but I’ll restrain myself.
Thanks for the opportunity – Have a splendid day Boo Mama!
Kindly, Tracy from Michigan
I would love to win this printer. It would be so wonderful. I hope I win.
I SO need this! My printer died about about three years ago, and I’ve been doing the handwritten note thing for quite some time now!
Love HP products! They’re the only printers I’ve ever owned. The HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier would make my life easier because I could print my photos for scrapbooking at home and maybe get past my scrappers’ block!
My husband is about to enroll in a four year seminary program. We’re about to need a really good printer, and we are about to not be able to pay for one. If I won one it would be God’s provision for seminary.
(That means, picking me would mean you were being the hands of God. Not to pressure you or anything.) :-)
I am a homeschooling mama to five kids and this would be of GREAT help to me!!
Laura
This would make my life easier for scrapbooking!
My mother is a 2nd grade teacher at a school where a majority of the students come from a low income family and many discipline problems. Besides these obstacles, the teachers have to furnish most of their supplies. They have to bring their own paper to make copies on for schoolwork for the students. And besides, copier time is something valuable that many hoard over and is hard to get. This multifaceted printer would make her life easier. Thanks!
Our 10-year old printer is finally dying, so this would make a world of difference at our house!
I would love to win this. I don’t really know how old our current printer is, I am sure we could use a new one.
Hi there! I will join the masses and register. I would LOVE this printer. I am a teacher and could use it for more things than I could really list here. Not to mention scanning some photos now and again. Thanks for the giveaway!
Wow, wireless! I could use that!
Who oh who wouldn’t love the newest, latest, greatest printer for free…
Because I lose my religion e.v.e.r.y time I scan, copy or print! This sounds divine. And when I lose my religion, I lose it twice because I have to copy everything twice for the Twins. ;) Would love the opportunity to win!
I wouldn’t have to worry about unplugging all of my cords and take my laptop to another room to print. It would be less of a hassle and save time.
We have an old printer that only does one thing, print, & it doesn’t do well at that. It would be great to not have to run to the store for copies anymore. I can’t even imagine how nice it would be to cut down on some of the cords around my computer.
Awesome! With this wireless printer/scanner, I wouldn’t have to worry about my kids getting into all the cords. (Although I do realize it would still have to plug in somewhere). And I could do a better job of sending pictures to family. And I could scan all the old photos I have from my mom.
What a deal. But I’ve thought this about other contest before but never won. You see I don’t think I have ever heard of a non-blogger (oh yes there are many of us who are too frightened to join your ranks)to win any contest put on by bloggers but I’ll take my chance once again. I have a $39.00 printer that has served me for 2 years. I have spent 4 times that much on ink but it’s still working but all it does is print. I would love for it to copy and scan. All my old photographs badly need copies and oh I could think of so many other ways it would be useful in my business. So please throw my name in to your hat, pot, barrow and by the looks of the list of comments you need something as big as a swimming pool.
This is a must when homeschooling 3 kids!
Thanks for such a great giveaway!
I WANT THIS!!! Oh my goodness I can’t even tell you how badly I want to win this! (and not just because I never win anything!)
I have been eying this printer for a while now. I work from home and I am in desperate need of being able to print, scan, copy and to do it wirelessly. I also have a special needs son, so being able to print out helpful articles and scan his Dr reports would be AWESOME!!
Thanks for hosting this. I’ll be crossing my fingers, toes, arms, legs… You get the point.
SKWEEEEEEE!!! This printer would make my life easier because I wouldn’t have to drag my laptop AND plug into the office to print something…because my laptop battery is so dead that I cannot unplug it at all, so I have to take the whole shebang in there to hook it up to the printer! What a PAIN!!
OOOOOO! I hope I win!!
I am staunchly anti-cord and this would make me VERY happy.
a wireless printer would rock! i would no longer have to be attached to the desk–cool!
I have an outdated Dell printer that is the bane of my existence. I just started homeschooling, moved far from home, and am expecting baby #3 and having a brand spanking new fancy shmancy printer would really rock my world right now. SO please, enter me in the contest. Here’s hoping the random integer picks me!
I have one printer in my room and a photo printer. My son needs a printer because everytimes he has homework he has to email me the assignment and i have to print it from my computer.
We have 4 laptops in the house and we already use the internet to go wireless. So i think it would be great if my son could print his assignments from his room and they print in my room.
I so need this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got a laptop and am in serious need of a wireless printer! The scanner and copier parts are super bonuses, too!!!
My printer groans each time I try to use the darn thing. I smacked it the other day thinking that might make it speed up but no such luck. The Christmas Newsletter was really hard on the old dear.
Anything to make my life easier would be wonderful.
Thanks !
Anytime a piece of equipment can be used without all those messy wires it’s going to be wonderful. I got the wireless laptop for Christmas. Now the wireless printer would be the perfect accessory.
This printer would make my life easier because I’m a writer who works from home–printing stuff from the home office is always convenient.
My wireless one was broken by my 3 year old.
Very cool giveaway. I would love a wireless printer!
I would absolutely love to use this printer for my work with the Youth With A Mission Adoption Ministry – Ethiopia that I help with! Thank you!
Oh, how this would make my life easier. I work from home and am balancing two printers under my Mac because one will scan and one will actually, you know, print. The first is broken, the second is cheap! LOL!
This would mean the world to me. It really would. I have to drive to my mothers just to get a copy or something printed off the internet. I do not own one right now. Thanks for the chance.
I would love a wireless printer because I am often not connected and have to take the laptop to the office to print.
Wowzers!!
A new printer!
And wireless to boot. My poor old printer has been through 4 computers with me. It’s trusty but doesn’t do photos, nor does it scan. I have a separate scanner and I am not a fan of electronic clutter either.
Thx Boomama
Hugs,
Marie
I have a new laptop, but it is tethered to my old printer. I would love to go wireless!
Great giveaway!
Sarah
My printer is like your Hoopty Laptop. It is on its’ last legs. I’m afeared it will fall and not be able to git back up. Thanks for the cahnce to win a new one.
I’m crossing my fingers and my toes!
Wireless ROCKS!!
So, Facebook: you know of it, yes? Yes.
Do you know, too, of the whimsy and joy when you log on to catch up with some friends, and instead find yourself staring in horror at a slightly yellowed photograph of you from 1978, smiling your buck-toothed smile and wearing your Coke-bottle glasses, and the HAIR, oh, we can’t even talk about the HAIR and OH GAH BLEAH.
Yes. This has happened to me once or twice or sixty-five times in the past month alone.
Do I retaliate? I do not, because I have NO FUNCTIONAL SCANNER. Would I like to win the contest and wreak havoc on the Facebook pages of my dearest friends and family members?
Yes. Yes, I really would.
This printer would make my life so much easier. As it is now, I have to send anything I want printed to another computer in the house. Which means running my overweight body up the stairs and getting short of breath. Wait. Maybe that’s a good thing. Okay, I promise to put the wireless printer upstairs, too!
Winning this super nifty electronic gizmo would make my life easier because it would encourage me to shovel off my desk, in order to prepare a place of honor for said eXcellent prize. An uncluttered desk would make my neat & tidy hubby smile (or faint). Of course, smiling hubbies make life a whole lot easier!
Our printer is dying and this would be perfect for our new smaller desk we’re getting. I’m all about the space and organization. :)
I could totally use a photo printer and scanner to bring me up to date in the electronic age!
I love the wireless feature! It would take a little bit of the tacky out of my computer room decor not to have a printer cord draped all over the place.
My almost 10 year old printer has seen better days. The wireless feature would be super added bonus too!
My printer is going on 7 years and its starting the death march. I have tons of old pictures that I want to scan and I am hopefully going back to school for my Ed.D. in the fall, which means lots of writing and lots of printing. The wireless feature is good old fashioned icing on the cake.
My current printer was a Valentine’s Day gift from my dear hubby when we were first married (10 years this year!) It still works but it is very crabby these days! And a little frustrating at times. Aaaah, a wireless printer. I can’t imagine being able to actually use my desktop for paperwork and crafting instead of the storage spot for my printer! More space to breathe! Thank you for the chance to win!
My children are lucky enough to have three great-grandmothers still living. If I could print pictures from home to send to them, it would save me many a trip (and many extra dollars!) to Target.
PS: Love the Bachelor updates!
Oh, I have so many pictures I would like to scan, but can’t afford to buy a scanner. I am a scrapbooker, and would love to be able to scan older pictures and print them!
How lovely to have a printer that actually prints something other than black and white words! Wahoo!
Well, first I’m #667, which is just good to get past the # before me which creeps me out a little bit. The printer – is wireless – as is my laptop, and it’s less than handy to have my laptop in one room or floor of the house and have to come back to the office and hook it up to print out the recipe or whatever. Wireless would be dandy indeed, besides the fact that it’s way cute.
Would love to win this printer!! I have an old dinosaur HP printer and luv it!! Got a new computer but saved the printer because it is that good. This new fancy model – now I could put that to good use! Thanks.
Hopefully this year I can go wireless, but in the mean time winning this would give me a quality printer, that in itself would make my life easier
Ummm…. my printer is from the 90’s (ouch) and I have to take out the ink cartridge and shake it each time I want to print. Do I need a new printer? YES!!!!!!
Thank you for the Bach updates! Enjoy reading them after watching the episode. You sometimes write about something I missed!
I have so many projects I would like to start, but I don’t have a printer that would support my awesomeness! Fingers crossed!
I so could use all the options this most AWSOME printer includes. I would love to be able to scan old pictures AND our kids art work. I would definitely do hitchkicks for this!
I would love to have one of these HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier (You did say we needed to learn the official name? Do I get extra points??)
I don’t usually enter giveaways, but this one looks great. I may have to go and enter a few because I have way too many wires around here — and not to mention, I get excited over new electronics too :)
I have a wireless laptop that the whole family uses, and if I want to print anything I have to save the document and email to myself, try to log on to our desktop computer (usually cannot get an internet connection to be able to get my own email), and then print the document.
Very frustrating.
A wireless printer would be awesome!
I need one! Sure would make TODAY easier if I had it…I’m off to superstore purgatory where I nave to print off pictures for kid #1’s science fair board. I’d rather be home where it’s warm, printing them on my HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Tina
Sign me up, Baby… I desperately need to scan my parents’ wedding pictures so I can make them the MOST DRAMATIC and MOST EMOTIONAL 50th anniversary video montage in history! It would be so simple do do all that tedious scanning and printing on the HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner and Copier. Plus, I’m really tired of sending things to my hubby’s office to be copied on his work copier…really tired!
I would love to have this printer so I could finally go to all those grocery coupon websites my friends keep telling me about…the ones where you print off coupons and save $150 on your grocery bill. I mean…who doesn’t want free food?!
Well I’m glad I’m not alone in sending attachments to my husband whenever I need to print something. The best thing about this printer for me would be the wireless feature and of course that it would be a million times more efficient than my current old printer. :)
A wireless printer would be fantastic to have. With two laptop users in the house, it would be great not to have to hook up all the cords every time we need to print!
Oh, I so need the scanner part of this and a new printer would be kickin’ as well!
This printer would make my life easier because my current printer is broken! And we could try to take it somewhere to have it fixed, but let’s face it — winning this fancy new one from HP would be way easier!
I’ve always wanted a scanner and the printer would be a definite upgrade for us!
currently NO home printer, winning this printer/scanner would be awesome!!
My “hoopty” printer is very, well, hoopty. ;) A new one would also save my hubby from the ethical dilemma of printing personal “documents” (quotes intended!) at school without paying for them!
I would love to have a new printer without the headache of finding Dell ink.
When I was in the midst of printing off our favorite family recipes for cookbooks I was making for Christmas presents my printer started printing all funny. So I have had to start saving everything I need to print to a jump drive & then printing it at work. No longer can I spontaneously print something. Oh, a new printer would be great!
I would love to print little birthday cards for the millions of birthday parties my 4 children attend!!
It would be great to have a copier and a scanner in the house. Thanks!
We were just about to buy a printer! We don’t even have one! :) Yay!!
it would make my life easier in so many ways. first, i don’t have a working printer at home. second, i haven’t seen my scanner since 07. third, i live in a shoebox apartment and it would be super easy not to have to move things and plug them in. it looks awesome!
My old printer is from the Stone Age and won’t work with my new fancy-schmancy computer that my hubby just bought me. I COULD TOTALLY USE THAT NEW PRINTER!!!!
I have a new printer, and the scanner doesn’t work!!! ARRRGGGHHHH! And I NEED a scanner so I can blackmail all my friends on Facebook with pics of perms and shoulderpads.
Oh I need this so badly. I don’t have a printer at home and have to send everything to my husband to print for me and send him a bunch of emails throughout the day that say ‘please don’t forget’. Very annoying for him. This printer would be good for our marriage!
Plus I would love to make cards. Oh and I would love to scan old pictures from high school and upload them to facebook and tag people. Yeah, that would be fun.
The fact that it’s wireless is what really speaks to me! I could help the kids with homework on the laptop downstairs and then sent the document to print without lugging the laptop back upstairs or emailing the document to myself. What a time saver!
no printer-scanner-copier now means winning a printer-scanner-copier would pretty much change my life for the better! Thanks!!
I would love this printer! I home school and I need to print things for my kids to do for school. It is a pain to run back and forth to the printer to print.
New Printer Love! Is there anything better? I would love to have that feeling again!
I would love to have a new printer.
