It’s probably no surprise that I’m a wee bit behind on my blog reading this week, mainly because I’m reading stuff related to the NCAA Basketball Tournament whenever I can. So for the four of you who care, here’s what’s grabbed my attention lately.
– The Clarion-Ledger‘s MSU sports-related news is the best thing going for an out-of-state Bulldog.
– The C-L also has a great MSU blog, and this week, on average, I’m checking it about six times a day.
NOT THAT I’M OBSESSED OR ANYTHING.
– President Obama filled out a bracket – and he did not pick the Bulldogs. I don’t even know what to say about that.
– As of today there are almost 100 people (!!!) signed up for our ESPN Tournament Challenge group. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME. The brackets close tomorrow, so if you’d like to join us but just haven’t gotten around to it yet, here’s the link.

It closes tomorrow?! Yikes! Better go see which team names I like the most.
Oh you have no idea how funny it is that I just filled out a bracket! I know nothing about sports of any kind. Except maybe gymnastics and I’m even confused about that now since 10 is no longer a perfect score. I predict I will not get very far on this bracket.
I’m signed up but a monkey would make less random choices than I did. This is going to be a blast!
I’m so excited about your group!! This will be so fun!
I’m wondering- how does the Pres have time to think about and fill out a bracket while also trying to manage, oh I don’t know, the FREE WORLD. I’m just teaching English to teenagers and I can’t find time to do it. I don’t know if it says something about my lack of organization or the difficulty of dealing with 15-18 year olds. Maybe managing a world-wide economic crisis would be easier. Ha ha.
I just know that sometime in the next couple of weeks you will say, “come on son”. While vacuuming. The thought makes me smile.
Someone get Cottrell to fill out his bracket already. Then again he may have been waiting to see if Lawson was going to be playing in the opening game for UNC. Looks like he isn’t. Does this change everything for North Carolina??
I’ll bet you didn’t know if I knew if a basketball was blown up or stuffed, did you???? :)
P.S. I’m with Traci!!!
It really only takes a few minutes to fill out a bracket, especially if you are a basketball fan like the President.
BooMama, did you see this on Jimmy Fallon:

This is my alma mater!! UTChattanooga! Go Mocs!! Jimmy Fallon (recently of Late Night) has picked them to win. LOL–yeah, they play UConn tomorrow. And as much as I love my Mocs, I did not pick them to beat UConn. I might be dumb, but I ain’t schtupid.
i am just excited the Lady Bulldogs are playing only 30 min from my house on Saturday. We are making plans to go support the girls!!!
LETS GO DAWGS!!!!!
Just signed up to be a part of your challenge on ESPN! You will be surprised at how many there are! Good luck!!
The President didn’t pick your Bulldogs, but he picked my Tarheels. Bless his heart. I have pics on my blog from yesterdays practice with the Tarheels and Ty Lawson was walking. I’ve never prayed for a toe like I have his over the past week. As a fellow sports fan, I’m sure you will understand prayers for a toe. I’m thinking you’d do the same. And I believe that toes matter to God. At least I’m hoping they do. Looking forward to the challenge!
