The Big Boo Cast, Episode 93

Well, for the first half of this episode Melanie and I talk about movies and TV, and for a big chunk of the second half of this episode, we talk about marriage.

Yes. I know. MARRIAGE. Which we hardly ever talk about in any sort of detail. But we have us a fine conversation about it right here on episode 93. We also discuss our new favorite music and an outstanding list of Amazon products that Melanie discovered, so go ahead and prepare yourself to travel down that rabbit hole for a few hours after you listen.

Enjoy the hodgepodge, everybody!

We’d love for you to subscribe on iTunes, and we’d be honored if you’d leave us a review.

  1. The Greatest Showman was fabulous – music, acting, plotline, visuals, everything. Love Hugh Jackman but, then I would pay to watch him read the newspaper . . . so handsome, good actor, lovely singer and great dancer with wonderful command of his body. Honestly he is like a modern day Fred Astaire or Gene Kelley. What other current male actor is as well rounded as he is?
And yes The Post was a great movie and pretty timely. Good to be reminded that freedom of the press is a cornerstone of our country and that good, competent journalists research and aim to give the public facts not “ fake news”. need to reminded of that so whenever a certain someone tweets about everything being “fake news” we remember that real journalists are just trying to do their job and report on things. Also that “ news” shows where biased commentators give their opinions can really taint one’s perception of things. I don’t watch Fox News anymore because the stuff they spew is often so one sided….sorry to get on a political soapbox but The Post really makes one long for decency, civility and more honesty in our government,

  2. Let’s leave this as a non-political site. We get inundated everywhere and it’s refreshing to be in this happy place.

  3. I love all your podcasts! Listening to them is one of my favorite things to do!

  4. Oh I can’t wait!!! Y’all are my favorites.

  5. Amy in Italy says:

Oh girls. You are a delight. Thanks for clicking “record.”

  7. Okay. Ive tried three different times to go watch the greatest showman. Every time it was sold out. I’m sure that the people buying these tickets are the ones going to see it for the seventh time! Not fair. I’m over it already. Buy tickets online they say…well. What happened to being spontaneous?!? Now that I’ve said my peace, I can’t wait to catch up with y’all!

  8. Loved the podcast, as always. I’m doing a deep dive into the 60 things I didn’t know I needed. Look out, Amazon!

FYI: I’m interested in the Kind bars offer, but when you click on your ad, it takes you to a German site. I’m not that proficient in English, so my German is really bad. Looks cool, though. I tried Melanie’s site, but it doesn’t appear to link to anything. Just trying to add to your bottom line!

  9. Katy McCay says:

This episode was one of my favorites. When y’all ran away with the giggles about the marriage question I about died. So good. Also, I wish you hadn’t linked that Amazon list. How many items to Melanie say she limited herself to? I feel like I did that plus 2.

  10. I bought the pillow case from the “dope” list!
Last night was my first sleep on it……..and I love it! I was surprised at how nice it felt for the price.

  11. Last night we went to bed and while my husband can go right to sleep, I was wide awake and so decided to listen to your podcast with my eyebuds. Oh my gosh, I was laughing so hard at the email I was afraid I would wake my husband up. Low lying simmering irritation…. hahaha! I’ve been married 30 years and BooMama is right, it takes a long time to settle into who you are. Thanks for the laughs!

  12. Christine says:

“We are all one less-than-generous edit away from being identified as the person not worthy of receiving the rose”… Absolute gold! That needs to be cross-stitched on a pillow somewhere! I lost my breath multiple times cracking up with you two! The marriage conversation was absolutely precious and y’all were speaking truth! Such a good word!

  13. I needed to hear your marriage convo today! Thank you for sharing that word and for making me laugh! Love your voices and this podcast! xoxox!
