It’s A New Bloggy Day – So How About A Giveaway?

Have I ever told y’all that I love me some cheese fries?

Well, I do. I love me some cheese fries.

And I especially love the cheese fries from Outback. Because they are some potato-y, bacon-y, cheese-y, dipped in Ranch dressing-y deliciousness.

And since I am a fan of irony, I like to order them with a side salad and a diet Coke.

Plus, I always split the cheese fries with my husband, so hello? PORTION CONTROL.

Well, as it turns out, Outback is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, and because of that, they have made a very special gift available for you, the internets.

So if you’d like to win a $25 gift card to Outback, leave a comment and tell me your favorite thing to order when you eat there. And if you need an Outback menu refresher course, click here to check it out.

I’ll leave this giveaway open until Monday, March 31 – at which point I’ll use to select our lucky (PROVIDENTIAL!) winner.

G’day, y’all!

(Sorry. I couldn’t help it. The whole “G’day” thing was way too tempting. I do apologize.)

This giveaway is now closed.

  1. I love the Alice Springs Chicken — love it, love it, love it.

  2. Definately start with a bloomin onion and finish up with their filet. Yum!

  3. Jenny Swan says:

I too am madly in love with the cheese fried, but I never thought about ordering them with a salad! :) That’s a GREAT idea! :)

    You’re so smart! :)

  4. I’m still trying to imagine the way it sounds when a southern belle says “G’Day y’all”. Those two accents couldn’t be further apart- yet I know you would make it sound good, and sassy too!

The Awesome Blossom is my favorite- or steak or any kind!

  5. I could eat a bloomin’ onion all by myself. If my bloomin’ family would quit trying to eat it!

  6. AWESOME BLOSSOM all the way friends! I will have to try to cheese fries next, the sound delish!

  7. Melinda says:

    Cheese fries…yummy!!!

  8. Alice Springs Chicken all the way!!! WooHoo!! and also Coconut Shrimp!

  9. Oh BooMama, I am with you. The cheese fries need no entree to follow them. They are a meal all to themselves and no one does cheese fries like Outback.

Thanks for the generous giveaway! Yum, I could go for some Outback right about now! :)

  10. I do love their potato soup and great steaks:)

  11. OK, I’ve been to Outback a total of 1 time and that was at least 14 years ago!! But– judging from the comments I’ll have to try the bloomin’ onion and the Alice Springs Chicken.

  12. Okay, so you know how on THE OFFICE how Michael (Steve Carell) goes to Chili’s and says, “We’ll have the Awesome Blossom, extra awesome!” Well, the hubby and I laugh our heads off.

The last time we went to Outback we ordered their equivalent but it’s called “Bloomin’ Onion.” We tried to say, “We’ll have the Bloomin’ Onion, extra bloomin'” but it just didn’t sound as good.

    That’s all I got.

  13. I’ve never eaten there! If I had, I’m sure it’d be that bloomin onion thing. Yummy.

  14. Terri S. says:

The Bloomin’ Onion and Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie. Add a salad and we’re good to go. Thanks!

  15. Outback special with a blue cheese chopped salad! I have never made it to dessert :0)

  16. Alice Springs Chicken for sure.

Did someone say they had never eaten there?!?!?!

  17. I love the bloomin’ onion, any steak, wings, and the alice springs chicken. It just depends on my mood:)

  18. Every time we go, I get an Outback special with baked potato covered in butter, cheese, and bacon. It’s like heaven on a plate!

  19. Oh, the lamb. It’s so hard to find good lamb anywhere, so we always order it when we got to outback. Yummy.

  20. The Bloomin’ Onion is my favorite thing to order! Other fried onion things don’t come close to Outback’s Onion!! Pick me, pick me…We could use a date night:)

  21. Jeannie says:

I love their chopped salad with blue cheese! Yummy! Their prime rib Outback style (seasoned and seared) is also a big fave!

    Love your blog, too!

  22. Um, HELLO, is their anything better than the CHEESY FRIES???

  23. Gotta start with a Bloomin’ Onion and then Alice Springs chicken for the entree!

  24. Outback is our favorite place, too. I always order the Alice Springs chicken. Their vegetables? Oh my word. But I’m also quite partial to the cheese fries and bloomin’ onion. Yay for Providentialness!

  25. Hubby and i enjoy the Bloomin’ Onion…and of course a good steak. =)

  26. Robin M. says:

Mmmmm… it has to be the cheese fries. The last time my husband and I ate at Outback, we ordered the cheese fries while waiting for our table… by the time we were finished with the appetizer, we were full, so we just paid for it and left… cheap date!

  27. Alice Springs Chicken with no mushrooms! Outback is our favorite place to eat without the kiddos.

  28. I, too, have ordered the yummy cheese fries with the side salad and Diet coke!

I also love the bloomin’ onion and my hubby always likes a good steak.
On the cruise tht we went on in February, he ate one EVERY night ALONG with his meal.
How’s that for portion control? :)

  29. I LOVE the Victoria’s filet, side salad with ranch and salted-jacket baked potato. mmmm…mmmm…

  30. Lindsey says:

    Bloomin onion, no contest!!

I love the Outback special steak! It is the only place I ever order steak!!!!!

  33. I love chicken shrimp on the barbie!
I’m also doing a little giveaway, spring is in the air!

  34. I just had those cheese fries for the first time last month. I’ve been dreaming about them ever since. Is that a bad thing?

  35. I love the Alice Springs Chicken WITH the Cheese Fries. I’m all about portion control too! LOL I make sure there’s enough left for lunch the next day. Outback is where DH and I had our first date. There’s lots of history at Outback for us. Yeah baby!

  36. The bloomin’ onion and a prime rib. With a diet coke of course. :)

  37. Oooh, I love Outback!!

My husband and I usually split an order of shrimp on the barbie for an appetizer, and then I almost always order the Drovers Platter that has ribs and chicken. And I usually have some to take home for lunch the next day!! Love their bread and baked potatoes, too,

  38. A big juicy steak. (I’m not very good making them at home.)

  39. laura miller says:

I love EVERYTHING from the Outback– brown bread and butter, salad with HUGE croutons, Outback special (steak), baked potato with skin that I will actually eat!!

  40. Wow! I feel so out of place. I have not been to an outback yet because with 5 kids it is just to much money for us. However I am drooling over the wonderful things I have seen mentioned in the comments section. Mmmmm…. Those cheesy fries sound awesome!!!

  41. I know Outback is a steak house but I love the grilled pork chops! Yummy!!

  42. Without a second thought- it is definitely the Alice Springs Chicken! Mushrooms, cheese, yummy sauce- what’s not to love? And of course you HAVE to get it with the jacket potato (with everything!) and a side salad with bleu cheese dressing!

  43. Oh, I LOVE Outback! I almost always get the same thing: the bloomin’onion, the special with a baked potato, caesar salad, and hopefully, the chocolate thunder from down under. It’s a special treat to go there.

  44. I. ADORE. OUTBACK. and NOTHING beats the Bloomin’ onion. But gotta have a side of Ranch dressing along with the sauce they provide. Gotta. It’s the law.

  45. Andrea Nerren Bell says:

The chopped bleu cheese salad is my absolute favorite. I have tried & tried to duplicate it at home, with no success. Really, everything there is great!

  46. Melanie says:

Ditto on the cheese fries, my husband and I love them! However, the Cyclone Pasta is my absolute favorite! The ham and sun-dried tomatoes really make the dish. You gotta try it at least once even if you would never consider ordering pasta at a steakhouse:)

  47. I am sadly deprived and I have never got to go there so pick me m’kay?! I like cheese fries too :D We only get to go to buffets or kids places LOL. xoxo melzie

  48. Oh, BooMama – I love me some Outback too!! The Alice Springs Chicken is my favorite thing to get there by far! I just adore that chicken with bacon and cheese melted all over it with a side of honey mustard for dipping! YUMMY!!!

  49. Woo hoo! They have a mean chicken fried chicken that I order every time. I am also a fan of their side salad. Great ranch and croutons. Stomach is now growling.

  50. I love the victoria cut steak. At least I think that’s what it’s called. It has been a long time since I’ve been but I promise if I get picked I’ll make a special effort to go without the kiddies. They make the BEST steaks!

  51. I’m in LOVE with the Bloomin’ Onion…all fried and greasy! YUM!!

  52. Melissa S. says:

I love me some bloomin’ onion. And a big ol margarita.

My dh loves that Alice Springs Chicken. Uh, why do we order chicken at steakhouses?

    Melissa S.

  53. I LOVE the Bloomin’ Onion, but my husband doesn’t eat onions, so I usually get the cheese fries. So…maybe with a $25 gift card we could splurge and get both? LOL, no portion control here!

  54. It’s impossible not to love the bloomin’ onion . . . but I like to continue my healthy meal with the Alice Springs Chicken . . . so good! :-)

  55. I love the Cyclone Pasta, my husband loves their pork chops, my best friend loves the Alice Springs Chicken, her husband gets the steak and we all love the cheese fries and bloomin onion!!

  56. Alice springs chicken with fries – so i can dip them in the honey mustard…YUM

  57. I’m a fan of the Alice Springs Chicken. You see, it’s grilled chicken so technically it’s healthy(ier) BUT you top it with lots of melted cheese and some bacon. Oh, the bacon!

  58. Not having to clear the table or do the dishes. I’m pretty easy to please!

  59. Alice Springs Chicken and Cheese Fries – period. Yummy!

  60. Gotta have the salmon. Grilled salmon, grilled veggies, grilled pineapple, and HEY! I WANT ME SOME-A-DAT REMOULADE SAUCE TO GO WITH IT!!!

    Is it lunchtime yet?

  61. I love any of their steaks, but I guess Victoria’s Filet is the best. And their ranch dressing is SO delish!!

  62. I LOVE the Bloomin Onion! My husband would say the Cheese Fries and my son would say the “Chocolate” bread. and of course steaks for me and the husband and joey sirloin for my son.

  63. I don’t know if I’ve ever been to Outback without ordering a bloomin’ onion–gotta have it!

  64. The Bloomin’ Onion followed by a filet (rare)!

  65. Gimme a good center cut filet or New York Strip any day. All the appetizers, potatoes, salads and desserts are just the icing on the cake. With a big old side of sweet tea. Mmmmmmmm.

  66. Bloomin’ Onion and the Outback Special. Rare.

Although that slow-roasted sirloin special that’s on their website looks very tasty and might even tempt me to break away from my usual.

  67. Victoria’s filet, salad-oh, how I love those cucumbers and croutons, a baked potato, with the salty skin! LOVE IT!!!!

  68. The grillers in beef w/ pineapple–yum!

  69. Nichole says:

WOW…I haven’t been to Outback in ages! I would have to go with the old standby of a Bloomin’ Onion! YUM!

  70. That fudge cake is to die for! And I love the steak.

  71. The blooming onion, hands down. Mmmmm!

  72. Oh, the Tuscan Ribeye looks divine! Although I think the cheese fries look pretty good… just not as a main dish! And I might actually have to try that Bloomin’ Onion considering I have discovered that onions aren’t nearly as bad when they’re fried beyond all recognizable taste!

  73. I’ve only been once. I am a big fan of steak, steak and steak.Period.

    Enter me, thanks!

  74. Tempelle says:

I love Outback! My guy and I used to go before we had 3 needy little ones! Now I hardly ever get those oh-so-tasty cheese fries. Totally my fave! Pick me! Pick me!

  75. TWO WORDS:

  76. Gotta go with Bloomin’ Onion! The name is just so darn catchy.

  77. Of course, the awesome Blossom – fried extra crispy, but truly, I LOVE LOVE LOVE their salads with honey mustard dressing. Now that’s some healthy goodness. :)

  78. Cheese fries, please.

  79. I went to Outback one time. I had just had gall bladder surgery and didn’t find anything on the menu that I thought would settle well. Everyone else’s plate looked fab! The above mentioned cheese fries sound amazingly sinful…

  80. Bloomin’ Onion and a big, juicy ribeye!

  81. My favorite restaurant!!! I love their coconut shrimp & Alice Springs chicken..yum yum. Even their house salad is delish!!!

  82. I love the cheese fries and the Outback Special!

  83. The Bloomin’ Onion and a filet! Great dinner!

  84. I have not been to an Outback in over 12 years. Would love to try it again :) and I do love me a good steak!

  85. Oh, pick me! I love me a good steak (and bloomin’ onion and cheese fries and… Well, you get the picture.)

  86. Minus the diet coke, I order the same thing as you… cheese fries and a side salad. Yum!!

  87. Bloomin’ Onion and Baby Back Ribs, baby! And all this time I did not know there was an Outback so close to my house, I thought it was further. hmmmm….

  88. I love me some Victoria Filet and green beans! Making me want to go there now!

  89. I just wrote about how we have eaten at outback three times in the last two weeks.
My new favorite is the Hearts of Gold chicken and the steamed vegetables.
And if I wasn’t on a diet – the cheese fries rock me!!!!

  90. My favorite all depends on the mood I’m in. The cheese fries are good for just about anything and I’ll take any dessert they’ve got that has their chocolate fudge on top. You can’t go wrong with hot fudge!

  91. Alice Springs Chicken–oooh pick me, oh please :)

    Love and prayers,

  92. The Victoria filet with blue cheese crust sounds mighty tasty!

  93. AndiK (sadly blogless) says:

Mmmmmmmmmmm…Alice Springs Chicken! And cheese fries! Oh, the cheesy goodness!

  94. Okay, gotta be the Bloomin’ Onion…and the cheese fries…and their steaks are pretty good, too. Yummy!

  95. Hmmm, I’m dreaming of the bloomin’ onion.

You would be my husband’s most very favorite person ever if I win!

  96. Alice Springs Chicken with fries. Their fries are the best!

  97. I’ll take a rib eye any day!

  98. What to order would be a no-brainer for me. I’d get a big, juicy steak! We’re on a limited fixed income. We do treat ourselves by eating out once a week or so, but I never order a steak. It’s simply not in the budget. It sould be cool to throw caution to the wind and say “medium rare, please!”. Of course, I’d give hubby a bite or two of it, small bites of course. ;-)

  99. I love Alice Springs Chicken. It’s delicious!

  100. No contest……the pork chops, garlic smashed potatoes, cinnamon apples with a large glass of water with lemon.
